Osteopath Tim’ Goullet’s combination of skills cultivates into a unique approach to bodywork and osteopathy, providing professional analysis and treatment of the highest quality.
After completing a B.Sc. in Sports Science in 1987, Tim Goullet worked as a fitness consultant at Champney’s Health Club, Piccadilly.
Working closely with clients’ bodies and dealing with their injuries nurtured a desire to understand the body on a deeper level as well igniting an interest in the healing effects of bodywork.
Following four years full time study Tim qualified as an Osteopath and Naturopath and began clinical practice in London and Surrey locations. Following qualification, he taught osteopathic technique at the British College of Osteopathic Medicine for twenty years before focusing on building his osteopath practice at Triyoga. During that time, he was privileged to undertake post graduate study in Classical Osteopathy with the late John Wernham, a direct and long standing student of J.M. Littlejohn who established osteopathy in the UK in the early 1900s.
As a practising Osteopath, Tim continues to follow the principles and philosophy espoused by these key figures in the historical lineage of osteopathic history. In 1997, Tim travelled to Thailand and during his travels around the country qualified in two different forms of thai massage to enhance his treatment techniques. Following osteopathic studies, he also began practicing yoga and was particularly drawn to Astanga Yoga.
In 2005, Tim co-authored the book ‘Healing Yoga” with Liz Lark, applying his understanding of the body into a new context. Following this, Tim created his own therapy system – Yogabodywork – a technique inspired by his encounters with yoga and Thai Massage and specifically designed for yoga practitioners.
Tim has always enjoyed exercise and has been training in Karate Jutsu for 30 years, during which time he has competed, officiated and taught the art and currently holds a 5th Dan black belt. Tim’s extensive practice of both karate and yoga has deeply enriched his understanding of the body to compliment his academic studies and his practice as an Osteopath at Chelsea Triyoga, London SW3
This culmination of skills results in a unique approach to osteopathy, providing professional analysis and treatment to the highest standards, with a yoga twist.
